Video description / background:
Heel and toe drag are the worst. Buying a wider board is the solution! But sometimes the conditions call for a narrower board, and then what? Steeper bindings angles can start feeling awkward, and maybe a riser pad is the solution… I’ll see!

I quite liked my home made kitchen chopping board risers, I just got nervous about the forces on the long bolts I cut to fit.

As someone who is using riser plates/pads I'm all for you doing a video on them.. Would be great if you include a few other brands to compare them... Personally I use risers from Japan and theyre quite good imo... As always, looking forward to your next video!

I run risers on a few of my boards even with steeper angles and hard boots, I have Burton Elevators on my 181. I have made risers almost an inch thick for another board that had very flat plate bindings and the extra rise really helps.

You have probably shared this already in another video, but what is your boot size?
Currently looking at upgrading my set-up with a long carving board and not quite sure how wide it needs to be...

I am very tempted by riser pads, they seem to offer many pros for my riding style, but can you please tell me what the general cons are?
I am not talking about this particular model, I know you will make a full review on this :)
just what to normally expect from pads. They offer advantages, there must be a downside. Thanks!

Lars, does the riser pads affect the now binding bushings? I imainge that with an extra layer between board and binding it would affect the transfer of energy? Any comments on that?

What risers are you using? I’ve been wanting to buy some but they have been next to impossible to find in stock.
