Over the last few weeks, Italian PM, Giorgia Meloni has become a well-sought-after figure, with both the centre-right and far-right EU parties seeking her support. In this video, we'll take a look at why everyone wants Meloni, and who is most likely to win her over.

Our mission is to explain news and politics in an impartial, efficient, and accessible way, balancing import and interest while fostering independent thought.

Someone had fun creating that thumbnail 😂

I would say she is probably gonna stay in the middle and profit from both sides by trying to attract parties from both the EPP and ID to the ECR

This feels like a scene from a "teen" movie where every boy tries to win over the most popular girl in school

Meloni's dominance over the ECR is so big, she's the group's leader without being an MEP. Why would she give this up instead of, at best, lending Von Der Leyen temporary support?

Meloni has had one of the biggest 180's I've ever seen in modern european history; not even Mussolini was this desired by his austrian counterpart.

Meloni is just going through her harem protagonist ark

she is incredibly clever and well prepared on any single political matter, either domestic politics and geopolitics. I have never witnessed such an energic and well prepared politician in the last 20 years in Italy.

The notion that Meloni would consider entering the EPP is entirely fanciful.

As an italian, she’s not THE worst. She’s got a good reputation now cause in Europe they were expecting a new mussolini, but hers turned out to be a rather normal government

Great analysis! Please check your pronunciation of _Fidesz_ tho. It's just FEE-des, since it's Magyar, not Polish.

It’s the way she touches her face, emotes wildly with her hands and slouches that makes me want to ditch my socialism.

Great video, as always. Just a correction: it's pronounced "fides", not "fidesh".

Orban's party's name (Fidesz) is pronounced with an English 's' sound (like the one in snake) instead of a 'sh' sound (like the one in shake)...

Remember when all the media compared her to Mussolini and called her a fasicst 🤣🤡

Why would she join Marine Lepen? It would make more sense that lepen joined meloni, an italian lider would have it easier uniting the conservative parties of southern and eastern europe

5:56 You forgot that the PVV is also part of the I&D group, and projected to win 9 seats so not really small.

7:41 Guys, Fidesz is pronunced [ˈfidɛs], not 'fidesh'. You always mess this up, like Robert Fico's name.
