When I first studied with the Seventh-day Adventists, I had converted from being an atheist. Because I was not raised in their church I was not anti-Catholic. After joining, I noticed that the church had 2 definitions for most of its doctrines. I found that to be strange but I ignored it. Then later on I discovered that the church even has 2 definitions for the trinity. Most outsiders do not know this but they do. That was the last straw for me but I did not want to accept I was wrong for becoming Protestant in the first place so I went to Anglican Churches. Then 3 months ago I found out how many schisms there are in Anglicanism and I found out some of the evil things Martin Luther and John Calvin said and did during their lives. At that point, I realized I would either have to choose God or the world. I chose God and decided to do RCIA. I converted to Catholicism 3 months ago and am not looking back.

wonderful talk! I so relate to her talking about the suffering as a protestant without the sacraments, life was so very painful and almost this element of despair & emptiness before my hubby & I converted. We love Our Lords Holy Catholic Church!

I was a cradle SDA as well....very active in the Church....until I started university and met a Catholic who made me question everything I THOUGHT I knew about the Catholic Church. He knew his Faith and made me question mine. I started actually looking at Catholic resources to find my answers and my mind was blown! The more I researched the more I was drawn to Mother Church. Fast forward 20 years, and that Catholic young man is now my husband of 16 years and we have 2 beautiful daughters. I found Jesus in the Eucharist! If you truly love Jesus, there is no contest...He is there at the altar during every Mass.

I am a former SDA and went to adventist schools through High School (academy). In school we were required to read Ellen White books as our textbooks. Everything the Beems say is true! Glory to God I have been Catholic for the last 13 years and God pulled me out of the pits of error in Adventistism. Only the Holy Spirit can open the eyes of someone who chooses to stay in that religion.

Hi! I am a 2nd generation adventist on my mom’s side, 3rd on my dads. I met a catholic (my current boyfriend) who also inspired me to question everything which is why now I’m doing RCIA and looking forward to converting.

If you see this, I’d think you’d have so much content because I grew up Adventist and there’s SOOOO much anti catholic doctrine you should definitely look into. Like the 2300 day prophecy, I’m dying for someone to analyze it and give a Catholic perspective.

I’m a cradle SDA although I only went to church when I visited my dad every weekend. I was active in Pathfinders. I would attend mass with my mom on New Years although she wasn’t Catholic - her dad was though. Now I’m exploring Catholicism and didn’t realize the anti-Catholic programming SDA put you through. God knew I love history and is making read books on early christianity. All this to say - I’m leaning towards converting to Catholicism!
