Cherry Vanilla Chia Pudding

CHERRY CHIA CUPS 🍒 the perfect little snack or light meal combining the best of nutritious healthy fats, omega 3’s and fruity flavors

• INGREDIENTS •
1 cup frozen cherries
3/4 cup plant milk
3/4 cup yogurt of choice
1 Tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla extract/paste
1/3 cup chia seeds

for serving:
warm defrosted cherries
more yogurt

• METHOD •
Place the cherries, milk, yogurt, maple syrup and vanilla in a blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into a jar/container and add in the chia seeds. Mix really well and place in the fridge overnight (mix another time after 30 mins to combine all the seeds).
The next day, layer your serving cups with yogurt and warm cherries, add the chia pudding and enjoy!

For even more health benefits (though it will look a little different when finished): Contrary to popular belief you can’t get all the beneficial compounds and fats in Chia seeds (or as much benefit from the soluble fiber) when they’re left whole, so it’s best if you throw them in the blender with the rest of the ingredients. ❤

You can only access the healthy fats, proteins and Omegas from Chia Seed if it's either heated - above 60ºC or finely ground.
Otherwise the _cell wall of the chia is impenetrable._ While you'll still get the fibre benefits, you're missing out on a lot of their other qualities.

It's better for your gut if you shred the seeds beforehand/ or the whole mixture. :) just like with ground flax seeds which you can already buy like that

When you don't like the consistency, it is an option to blend the complete chiapudding at the end or blend the chia seeds, before mixing with the rest of the ingredients ❤

Lecker 😊 ich habe Kirschen aus dem Glas genommen. Und hatte keine Zeit, den Pudding stehen zu lassen. Beim nächsten Mal püriere ich die chiasamen mit. Soll wohl gesünder sein

I made this. It's tasty, but not all that thick even though i soaked it overnight? What did i likely do wrong? Not enough chia seeds? Still was very good though
