I know many struggle with their CGM falling off which is frustrating especially since Dexcom now only replaces 3 of those sensors yearly.

I have been usingvthe G7 for 10+ weeks and only had issues with the first and second unit, this I attributed to learning. I use the skin grips over patch but recommend the version with the cutout, it makes a difference IMO(update:I do not recommend the cutout, they rip the skin). I put the G7 on the upper back arm and I do side sleep but never had any issues. The CGM has really been a game changer and everyone needs to try it.

Get a waterproof 3rd party overlay patch such as lexcam. Your sensor will stay on for the duration of the 10 days plus the grace period.

Mine starts to peel after about 4 days, with skintac and an overpatch on. Havent found a good solution. The g6 ones with stay on perfect for 10 days with the overpatch

The stomach is a much better placement than the arms, especially for side sleeping people. The back of the arm moves too much in my opinion, but I place my Libre 2 off to the outside to avoid needle bending problems and it doesn’t have many compression lows.

Do you place the new CGM the day before? I saw a suggestion to place a new CGM the day before you scan it, some it is more accurate because it is less affected by inserting trauma that can affect accuracy.

When I tried my stomach, my readings were all off!!! As for it sticking, the glue is so strong, it rips my skin off when I remove it. ☹️

I just started using Dexcom G7 and was told it’s only approved for the back of the arm…I would love to change sites, stomach for a change. I had the Freestyle Libre 3 for a short time, got ripped right off my arm on a door frame. I swear I wasn’t drunk 😂 just misjudged, I’m a klutz lol

Doesn't look like you used an over patch? I use the top of my arm on the bicep. Stays on and i do not get compression lows.
