This is such amazing advice. I get so overwhelmed by clutter, and when it starts to build up I get paralysed trying to deal with it (I’ve got a fun combo of ADHD and depression). This method seems really manageable! Knowing I don’t have to make any choices about what to keep, what to sell, and what to recycle/throw away already feels like such a relief!

It's super encouraging to realize that even you do the clutter corner technique. I always feel bad having a clutter corner whenever it exists.

I've been working to show myself more compassion when I'm not at 100% and this is some of the best compassionate advice.

This made me realize I have been subconsciously doing it, and that it's okay to do this while tidying up, cause a little progress is better than none at all.

I was skeptical when you said „easy“ way for depressed times bc there is no easy way those days. But I stand corrected, that was actual good advice! Including the maybe next year time frame. 👌♥️

I love a good clutter corner. It is so cathartic to empty it out when the depression isnt holding you down

Thank you sooo much for this. Your “DON’T BE A WEANIE” vids had me down about my house being in state due to my depression. I can’t quite muster myself out of weenieville right now. But I will.

Thank you so much. I really need this. I'm in constant chronic pain and have struggled to keep on top of everything. It's making me so down, I just look at it and feel worse, so I never do anything. I will do this today and work from the clutter area I create. Then, at least, it's not everywhere I turn ❤ thank you so much xx

If even this is too hard, I find it helpful to at least clear a small human sized corner out for me to exist first. No need to think about where the clutter in that corner goes, just push it wherever and give yourself a small clear space to rest up.

It's an easier first step towards the goal shown in the video and is helpful, at least for me, in building up enough energy to create a clutter corner eventually.

Love that this is realistic about mental health and its consequences, compassionate, and offers manageable alternatives to your current mode of doing things (that have kept you stuck and make things worse).
