But here's another problem, when we give the patient saline it also contains Na which is a positive ion and when it goes to Blood with Cl which cancels the Cl negative charge, because of that there is no need for shifting of bicarbonate ion, right?!

How can bicarb be an anion when citric acid is also an anion I think u got it wrong ii don't think bicarb can be an anion if chloride is also an anion because they are opposites what say you. Thank you
