Everyone is talking about Agile.

I stumbled into this 15 years ago and have been living and breathing Agile since then, seeing it grow from a small movement within software, into an industry-wide revolution and then gradually become mainstream. More and more companies around the world, even big traditional companies, are turning themselves inside out trying to be Agile.

Now it's time to take a step back and reflect. What is going on? What is this all about? And where is it headed?

I can't believe there can be so many people in the same room that have not seen The Matrix

Hi USI, thanks you for putting this up. But please, next time, always show the slides. I'm much more interested in them than I'm at looking at a close up of the speaker. Much, much more interested =)

Thank you for sharing your brightly thoughts !
I found the canon ball / homing missile metaphor very pertinent, it remembers me the history of iterative incremental development in the 60’s/70’s/80’s and his strong link to space and army industry. :-)

I also remember that I’ve been reading this thing about pre-agile development, following a note, in one of your publication.

Keep doing the hard work of evangelisation ! You’r doing great !

Agile is very tricky. I feel it only works when everyone knows the process. I have used Agile and see it work great and sometimes it has failed. My company used Apgent.com for our Agile transformation, we are doing far more releases in a shorter amount of time.

Scrum doesn't talk about "velocity." People who do not know Scrum talk about "velocity."
+infinity distinguishing Agile(tm) from agility
