There seems to be a discrepancy here. On my ASUS Zephyrus laptop the cmd only leads me to a black screen and not the cmd app. Then I remain unable to run the checkdisk command as I do not seem to have administrator permission. This is a brand new laptop computer and I do not recall setting any permissions when setting up this new laptop. Any advice? I'm getting a stopcode error (bluescreen of death) and need to run the checkdisk command and am at a loss here.

This world is crazy! It tells me it takes 30 minutes to scan a 1TB HDD for bad sectors, but over an hour on my PC it only done 13% scanning! And looking all over the internet and YouTube, I can’t find out how to exit the DOS chkdsk scanning for bad sectors! So should I just pull the power cord?!
