Program a START STOP Motor in Studio 5000 with a Seal In

How to create a Start Stop "Seal In" that is commonly used to program a motor in an Allen Bradley Controllogix/Compactlogix PLC using Studio 5000. This Start Stop example uses only the XIC, XIO, and OTE instructions. No latches!

Thank you for this video. I watched this, and was able to modify a AB micro 1200 malfunctioning output, to an unused one, restoring a machine to operation. Boss is very impressed. if I use a BASE tag to mimic an internal relay how do i do the wiring to make it work. I can do it with a real relay but not with an internal bit (BASE). Thanks

You mentioned in program mode even if there is a 1 in the data table for the output the plc doesn't physically turn on that output unless it's turned on elsewhere. Would that be used in programming for a power failure to make a powered on output the default in certain situations?
