Miracle? Naah...Singapore has been shipping ports for centuries and was developed by colonial powers way before Singapore was independent. After independence, Singapore received hundreds of millions to host US and and Israel military base. With those millions of dollars it is easy to develop an island nation. Imagine, you can travel around Singapore in a day. Therefore, Singapore already had a strong foundation for it to flourish. It is like a child of a rich parents, it is no miracle if the child also grew up to be rich.
