I quit Christian music 20 years ago. It bothered my spirit and reeked of consumerism. The words are all about me and my feelings and what God can do for me. It has changed the way worship happens in church. It makes me uncomfortable in church and makes me not want to go.

I left the United Methodist Church over forty years ago. It was very lukewarm then. Over the years, it has moved from lukewarm to leaving Christianity. It portrays itself as Biblical, but it doesn’t preach the Bible.

It doesn't matter who someone is once they state their preferred pronouns I'm done. It's absolute insanity to bow down to these people and let them get away with so much. They're totally twisting the Bible and who God is and I've had enough. I'm tired of them doing that and I'm tired of them hurting children.

God detests sin. Christ died so that that God could view us, filthy sinners sinless. Christ takes on all sin, sin past, present and future. Knowing our sins add to Christs suffering on the cross is a heart driven reason NOT to sin. Even tho we all fall short, our desire to be more like our savior should be our goal. In heaven, how brightly we shine will relate to how many souls we’ve saved! I’m so with you, laying our eyes on Gods word is key! We left the United Methodist Church as soon as we found out what they were doing 😢. They were ordaining trans, married homosexuals, and drag queens. It was such a slap in the face to us. We immediately left, as did the majority of the church. We are now an independent Bible based Methodist church. 🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸🇮🇱

My nephew toured with a mega-star Christian performer and his band. He told me that from what he saw on the road, many in the troupe, did not behave as Chistians, to put it mildly. It was an eye opening experience. Always remember that these people are performers. They are performing, like actors, playing a role.

I left a church that I loved but something was off. They always preached love and kindness, forgiveness and peace. It wasn't until I was there for a year we decided to join the church formally. We attended the "new member" class and 2 Sundays into it they introduced an Andrew Stanley bible study. I never returned and I stopped all contact with the church. I got a phone call asking what was going on and I stated that Andrew Stanley is a heretic and nothing would make me go back to that church. I lost a lot of friends and a church home...but I had to...due to heresy.

I was a Christian artist in Nashville in the 80s. I was a huge Amy Grant fan. Being there was so disturbing. The lines were deeply blurred between Christian and secular music. The word Christian was thrown around as a way to make anything acceptable and used as a marketing plan. I was propositioned several times concerning a record deal if I would prostitute myself and I was a married woman. If I would have paid enough money, you would know my music on the radio. The Lord allowed our time there to go sour after several years so we would leave. It took me a couple of years away from Nashville to discover the truth about my life and the Lord's actual plan for my life. It all hit me when I heard a pastor say, "No one should ever be more famous than Jesus!" That radically changed my focus from myself to the Lord and his desires. The Christian music industry was as corrupt in the 80s as any part of the music industry. My husband and I don't listen to Contemporary Christian music anymore. It's rare that the lyrics contain scripture or scripture based themes. The themes are more about how a person feels emotionally. In fact, if you pay attention, many of the songs don't sing the Lord's name. I would advise that folks listening to Christian music be prayerfully discerning.
