It's a shame they messed up Blastoise in Red and Blue. Pokemon Green got it right the first time. The version of Blastoise in R/B looks unusually chubby; including the shell itself! I'm reminded of Heart Gold / Soul Silver Blastoise, who feels chubbier than most other depictions, but that sprite is still better than the one in R/B.

Blastoise in Yellow looks great and while I like the uniqueness of Silver Blastoise being on all fours to brace himself/herself for the power of his/her own hydro cannon, the Yellow one is what I prefer.

The original Japanese art one looks like a PERFECT COPY of Ken Sugimori’s card art, just pixelated. And sorry but Red and Blue Blastoise is such a chonky mafia kingpin overlord that it’s probably my first A+ of the series.
