Meeting Homo Habilis!

Hello!,

I am so excited to introduce you, finally, to our second morphology video, as a part of #TheStoryofUs! Today, we will be learning about Homo habilis, specifically the fossil KNM-ER 1813, found in Kenya in the ’70s.

While by no means is this an in-depth video, but rather a brief introduction. Once we are introduced to more species, and fossils, the episodes will get more technical and in-depth.

I would also like to state that I am by no means an expert, and everything I say and write should be put against related work as all science should be.

Please enjoy, let me know what you think, are you excited for the next episode?

P.S Please excuse the shaking hands, it’s not anxiety, or because I am camera shy, it is a medical condition. Thank you for respecting that.

Thank you for the wonderful presentation! So informative! I didn't know much about Homo habilis, so it was nice to see a cast of a skull and listen to their "story". :-) I also loved hearing more about Turkana Boy! So amazing to think that as a young child he was already (estimated) to be 5' -4" - which is taller than I am! Will you be covering Turkana Boy at sometime in the future?

Hello Seth, Happy Holidays. Enjoyable lecture. Have you heard about this guy,  Homo bodoensis? According to researchers, lived in Africa about 500, 000 years ago and is a direct ancestor to modern humans.
