Captain Crozier is a man of honor. He cared for the welfare of those under his command. That's a true military leader.

A Good captain to his soldiers, a ‘bad’ soldier to his boss. A real man of honor!

Soon his story will put into a movie, Tom Hanks will play him in it.

History will judge what he did and why, but based upon the cheers of support and admiration he received from the crew as he exited the ship for the last time, he will be revered as a legend among those who serve in uniform. Fair Winds and Following Seas Captain Brett Crozier, you have solidified your place in Naval history.

We'll never know how long this captain has been asking for help discretely before he had to make the situation public. He's a hero who saved lives instead of making chess moves to further his career!

He saved so many lives, he is a hero.

Net he did send his concerns up the chain and the lack of response caused him to do this.

Crozier should never have to pay for a drink or meal again, ever.

I'm pretty sure a captain is supposed to be protecting his crew... I think I read that somewhere

The man sacrificed his career for his crew, and they know it.

The Captain is a true representation of a true man. Before a Captain of a warship he was a mam. It takes a man to stand up and place his crew before all else. Bravo Zulu!! Job well done!! Pleasure to serve alongside you sir!!! 🇺🇲

The higher ups will never get the admiration or respect by his men like he did.

There is a time when a leader needs to make a decision that will not play well for themselves but is the right thing to do. My assumption is that the captain knew the likely consequences. It very likely that he had informed chain of command. He balanced his career against the lives of his crew. Brave decision. Only time and investigations will tell if it was the right one. An ‘Acting’ Secretary is unable to exercise any judgement since an ‘acting’ anything is not qualified by Congress and is squarely under the power of this demented regime. Loyalty of the service personnel is sworn to the constitution however every field officer knows that loyalty in reality is to the individual service personnel to his or her immediate officer or NCO. This may signal the start of service personnel questioning their own loyalty to the Commander in Chief. The Russian Revolution happened when soldiers refused the order to fire on citizens.

He has lost the respect of his command, he has gained the respect of his sailors!
