This is my picks for my top 10 favorite directors as of this moment. These are NOT the 10 BEST directors. Favorites lists are inherently kind of weird, random and subjective.

There's plenty of iconic directors BETTER than much of this list. But these are the directors who made the most movies that have meant the most to me, that inspired me, that shaped me or that I'm always curious what they'll do next. Some are obvious picks based on what I frequently talk about. Some might not be as obvious at first glance but make sense if you dig a bit deeper.

I love Steven Spielberg as a director. He made Jaws, Raiders, Last Crusade, and Jurassic Park which are all movies I enjoy. He really knew how to make good movies back then.
