Respect! This list inspires me to check out some of these directors that I haven’t seen much of. Nolan is the 🐐 in my opinion tho. Great video Seth🤝

The videos are getting better and better Seth <3
Just wondering why you never mention Peter Jackson in your videos concerning directors. Personally, the LOTR films are also in my top 3 of all time, and I think it shouldn't be underestimated what a massive achievement this was by Peter Jackson and his crew. The ammount of hours and passion he put in those movies and in studying the source material are a true sign of a great director (in my opinion). Anyway, love the vids man!
For the past year or two, watching films has really become a passion of mine and, thanks to your videos, I've now got a Letterboxd-watchlist that will (probably) be impossible to finish before I turn 100 :)

I think the obvious exclusions were Kurosawa, Hitchcock, Tarkovsky, and to a lesser extent, Spielberg, Wilder, etc. Nonetheless, a respectable top 10. Cheers

I guess for me my top 3 favorites would be Kubrick (everybody knows why), Sergio Leone( I just love his style of filmmaking and he has Made some of my all time favorites) and scorcese ( he has made so many films nearly hasn't missed yet with one. And also are a lot of his films objectively considered in the top 100 films of all time).

Fraud list without Tarantino in the Top 5. Either 1) You haven’t watched enough of his films 2) You couldn’t follow along. Or 3) You did it to rage bait. Either way, big swing and a miss.

Amazing list. For me Villeneuve and Nolan would still be on there. Call me a casual, but their movies really spoke to me

I might be dumb asf for this but Tarantino easily makes my number 1 director simply because no one can make a movie so fucking enjoyable while still giving us quality content like Kill Bill or Django Unchained both being massively enjoyable in a simple little revenge plot and pays off in the ending every time. I don’t think one Tarantino movie ended poorly or disappointing.

What about Satyajit Ray? Your list is eurocentric
