Lady, in less than 60 seconds, I FINALY got a grip on this! I’m 50. I have been using them incorrectly my WHOLE FREAKING LIFE because I just didn’t get it. 🙄

(In my defense I never made that much of an effort to “get it.”)
But I did watch a couple YouTube videos a while back and they just confused and pissed me off.
Anyway….

And the sons X; Y, and Z. This is how King James Bible scribes used the semicolon, and I agree it makes sense. Can you explain? I have not found why in the past it was used like that.

Isn't the colon example separating 2 independent clauses? "The results are in: We lost the race."

I have a genuine doubt. In colon we list the items with commas, in semi colon also we list the items with commas. How is it different?
