Exactly. I was worrying about my grandpa living alone. But when I flies back to visit him, I realized his schedule was actually quite full. So I ended up following him everywhere to document what he was busy for 😂

That’s so good for him though! A lot of elderly people end up being alone for the rest of their remaining lives because no one really visits them anymore. It’s amazing that even though he doesn’t have family around, there are still people who care for him and spend time with him. Loneliness for too long can quite literally kill you. As you grow older some might like the peace and quiet for once in their life which I agree with lol but you still need company. I love it when neighbourhoods care for each other this much.

Not Vietnamese but South African, my grandfather was the same! The only reason he had a gate was to keep animals out of his garden because every hour we heard the gate open 😂

And yes our aging parents, now retired, do indeed have super busy and fulfilling social lives, better than ours! Better than mine a least with my busy and demanding work schedule 😂
