This SEAL Jumped on a Grenade #shorts

Michael Monsoor was a Navy SEAL who literally jumped on a grenade to save his brothers in arms in 2006. Monsoor was part of a sniper Overwatch team stationed on a rooftop in insurgent-held Ramadi. The enemy attacked with rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire, but Monsoor held his position, providing cover with his machine gun. Suddenly, a hand grenade bounced off his chest and landed between him and his teammates. In that split second, Monsoor made the ultimate sacrifice. Instead of saving himself, he threw his body onto the grenade, absorbing the full force of the explosion, saving lives of two of his teammates. Michael Monsoor was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. A brotherhood that no one else could ever understand.

For him to respond so quickly in that situation makes this more than merely a great act of courage.... This was the definition of who and what he was as a Man and a Warrior. May his family find peace in the knowledge that they raised a great man.

Michael Monsoor showed the kind of "BOND" that is made with your brothers in arms, he literally demonstrated the meaning of the words Patriotism, Commitment, Dedication and Selfless Sacrifice knowingly that he may NOT survive. He voluntarily did what was necessary in order to keep his brothers safe. Even though I never met him he got my utmost RESPECT, (I take my hat off to him). THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, RIP. You would NOT be forgotten. SEMPER FI Brother!
