Ukrainian soldiers train dropping grenades with 'drone for dummies'

A Ukrainian drone pilot trained on Sunday (June 25) dropped grenades on targets using commercial quadcopters in an undisclosed location in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk.

Equipped with a 3D-printed grenade-drop mechanism, the Chinese-made Mavic 3 Pro is able to be used by Ukraine's armed forces to drop explosives on the Russian army.

It is a tactic that has been widely by Ukraine adopted since Russia invaded on Feb. 24, 2022.

Drone pilot 'Mars', a 49-year-old who refused to give his real name for security reasons, said he found the drone very easy to use.

"Anyone will be able to fly with it. Everything else depends on what you want and how brave you are."

You have made Military History with Drone use. Honestly. Military War Colleges will have your people as teachers for many years. What is best for me how the people of Ukraine can see a problem and work out an easy fix. Still spellbound by the farmer who built a mine shield for his tractor as he works getting ready to plant again . Hoping this war may end soon but we will always be friends 🇺🇸🇺🇦

It would be necessary to form a detachment operating drones with these weapons on the front lines and focusing only on the basic task of ambush with a large number of them would scare the Russians.

He got that Modern Warfare killstreak.

What is the cheapest Chinese drone that could pull that off?

Seen a couple slightly above $20 with cameras and presumably sufficient power to lift a FantaNade, but I need precise data from someone with experience…

Imagine. The sound of a drones motors wirring will be a trigger for ptsd in the minds of thousands. These were supposed to be tools for photography, cartography, exploration, geosurveys for mining, ground mapping, lidar, ground penetrating radar. Not a psychological torture device. Which is what this tactic is.

I don't understand how the release mechanism is radio controlled. They have a separate receiver with a servo?

My older brother had the exact same drone, €1600 I think, but this was defo over priced, you know it wud be so easy to write a program for the drones to line up for dropping the bombs ensuring accuracy,

I wish Ukraine had a drone with an Uzi on it to chase Russians running away and shoot into the trenches, into truck windows, and onto soldiers riding on the top of tanks...

The most sickening and appalling war tactics, these drones should be banned from trench warfare at the very least.

The drone needs to be smaller and powered by aluminium air battery to carry a grenade and a mini gun.
