Understanding diabetic gastroparesis

Gastroparesis is a problem with the stomach not working properly. It is also called delayed gastric emptying. With gastroparesis, food in the stomach empties slowly into the small intestine. This can cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, fullness after meals, bloating (usually above the belly button), and pain.

I used to see my mom struggled with this & could do nothing about it 😩 the medications they had she was allergic to and it kept her in the hospital almost every other week I feel for the people & the families going thru it you have my heart ❤️I hate that she’s gone but seeing her go thru this type of pain for so long puts me at ease she doesn’t have to suffer any more

I’ve been having these problems since I was 15 I’m currently 18 now and it’s been hell for me these past 3 years, my normal weight for me was 180, now I battle at 144, all of this weight I lost was just from throwing up . I swear I thought I had cancer for the longest because I started drinking, smoking cigarettes and weed at the age of 14 I still need medical attention for some stuff I just never told my mom yet I don’t wanna freak her out anymore . So my best advice for anyone out there that’s having these problems is too go to your doctor and tell him everything hope everyone gets better 🙏🏽 .

I was diagnosed with it in 2006 but I do not have diabetes and I can barely eat anything and have to be extremely careful as to what type of food I eat.
I puke on almost a daily basis which is my most painful symptom.

Ate a sugary candy and two buns (with loads of butter & jam)

The doctor diagnosis me gastric a want to know if menopause can cause this problem. I am diabetic.
