The English muffin dough takes a while to rise since we do it slowly in the fridge. This slow rise makes the English muffin dough easier to work with and the flavor vastly improves with the extra time. To make things easy, I like making my dough on one day, proof overnight in the fridge, and then form and cook the next day. Recently, I got into baking, and this was the first recipe I baked! I did the overnight method, and my family absolutely adores the muffins! The first time I made it, we finished everything in two days, and I did double to last at least a week! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!

Looks great--love English muffins! Going to try these plant-based as I have a family history of Cancer so need to avoid the estrogen and possible BLV in dairy and the lead and choline in eggs. Thanks for sharing

I made these today. YUUUUM! I thought I'd have enough to make english muffin pizzas for dinner . NOPE all 12 gone with in 1.5 hours ( teen age boys🤨). second batch of dough already in the 'fridge! THANK YOU!

I hadn't used sour cream, nor put them on a skillet before baking, nor left them in the refrigerator to rise. I guess that's wy mine were just okay.
