Such an inspiring video! I am from Hong Kong and planning to move to Canada next year. Everyone around me keeps asking why I have to leave the place where I was born and raised. I am working in the communications field and people think I am not able to get a job that is as lucrative as my current one as a non-native English speaker. BUT this is my life, no matter what the outcome will turn out to be, I think one day I will thank myself for being courageous enough to step outside my comfort zone. Agree! What I find absolutely incredible and fascinating, is how your first language, especially the prosody and some phonological patterns interfere with your English and that you can’t disguise it. We all do that when we speak foreign languages, and it’s our linguistic footprint. I can definitely hear yours Marina, which is great.
