Thank you for this. My husband and I did the self employed stuff last year and I have been confused on how to do this. I do housekeeping and he does mowing and handy work. Our customers have been mainly family friends etc. I found out by accident lol that ny work is considered self employed.

Love all your videos about taxes! I work for a employer and have my own llc self employed business. Since I receive W2 form, do I still need to file Schedule SE? I already pay all federal income, social security, Medicare taxes on w2.
Thanks again

For Schedule C, Part 1, where did you get the number 62, 816? Is it from the company Uber/Doordash?

So how do I pay social security and Medicare taxes? Just opened business in April. Is that considered self employment tax? Thanks man. Great job. Also I see the second quarter of June 15th is coming up and I only made money in May. How do I guess the % of my income bracket for business?

Questions, why didn't you deduct the fees Uber and Lyft charges the driver on their Schedule C?

I have a question. I’m self employed. I’m a housekeeper . I have the same 5 clients every week. I get paid in cash. I do the work myself. I pay for cleaning product& accessories, monthly. I have business cards a second number for work. I pay someone to pick up my son from school& take him home. Gas money is included with what I pay her. Can I include this expense too. Also do I need a 1099

I'm a handyman, just a guy with no company name who made less than 9k in 2023 and was paid in cash and have not kept much for records. Would I still file a Schedule C if I am claiming no deductions? Do I just file a 1040 and SE form?
