Ahsoka Tano vs Maul [4K HDR] - Star Wars: The Clone Wars

A cut of the duel between Darth Maul and Ahsoka Tano, taken directly from the original source material, and trimmed down to show the duel as one seamless fight in full 4K HDR.

The Following Footage is included in this Fan Edit:

- All of Revenge of the Sith film, save a very small number of shots.
- A Brand new Rewritten Opening Crawl for the Supercut
- 21 Minutes of the 2k3 Clone Wars Battle of Coruscant, recut to fit within the timeline and enhanced in with a new 4K HDR transfer.
- All 4 Episodes of the Siege of Mandalore Clone Wars Season 7 finale arc, recut seamlessly into the events of Revenge of the Sith in roughly chronological order.
- 5 Restored Deleted Scenes (and one new partially restored scene) - Newly AI Upscaled and Improved over the previous releases, just like the Episode I and II Extended Cuts
- The Restored 20th Century Fox Opening, matching the versions used in my other cuts.

The Total Runtime for the Cut is 4 Hours, 19 Minutes and 10 seconds.

I will not be doing a version without the 2K3 series, or a version of ROTS Extended with only Deleted Scenes. There are other editors who have tackled those projects over the years. I have good reasons to include the footage I have chosen, as has been described in the previous ROTS release videos.

Footage from Bad Batch, Jedi Fallen Order, Kenobi, and Book of Boba are not included. I stand by my statements that they work much better in their respective original titles, especially since the Bad Batch Order 66 events are meant to be seen from their rather unique POV. I have also decided to keep the TCW final scene in its current placement. No Post Credits Scene in a Skywalker Saga film.

The fact that Maul orchestrated the whole war in Mandalore just to kill Anakin and stop Palpatine's plan it's one of the many reasons why he is the best if not one of the best villains ever.

Thats genuine fear in Mauls voice at the end, thats so eerie to see someone like Maul absolutely terrified of what happens if he lives on.

So many things about the Clone Wars in this ONE battle:

Maul went from this enforcer for Palpatine into a Shakespearian villain, with these prophetic monologues, going from poised and calculated, to seething, to rabid and panicking within mere moments.
This is (IIRC) the ONLY time in the Clone Wars series where they used MoCap for a fight scene, they wanted this to be the big crescendo for the series and it delivered.

"He is the key to everything."
Ahsoka hears all of Maul's case, and knowing how little Maul has to lose, probably believes him to an extent, however she can't let him kill Anakin like that.

All of this has become Ahsoka's true arc. Her path to becoming a true Jedi, not blinded by Dogmatic doctrine, not leashed by the Republic's corruption. Fighting for what she believes to be right, just, and compassionate.

i love how it ends with Ahsoka looking into the hole in the glass ceiling, reminds me of the truman show when the stage light falls from the sky and truman first becomes suspicious of the world around him being fake. it kinda symbolises Maul breaking a hole in ahsoka’s world, revealing that there is something dark and sinister lurking in the shadows beyond it, and she now sees it for the first time

I still believe this is the best fight. The tension is unbiased and genuine. Both have goals to support their own side, but on their own terms. One of the reasons Ahsoka agreed to work with Maul outside of just weaning information from him about Anakin. Not sure if Ahsoka would’ve truly followed through to help Maul, but knowing her enough if she agreed initially it would’ve been followed through.
