I met my 5 year mark 2 years ago!!!! I’m really excited that you can have a fantastic time about it! No joke. I really am. Your videos are so inspiring. But I really hate the word brave when my friends talk about my treatments. I wasn’t brave. I cried every day and didn’t die. 😞🤷‍♀️

Good for you! I hope you have many more years with "No evidence of disease (NED)."

I learned the hard way not to call myself "cancer-free." Five years after my initial treatment (surgery), there was evidence of disease--it was back. Subsequent radiation treatment initially looked promising, but the disease remains and appears to be growing again. We're evaluating the current state and what the next treatment options will be.

The good news to all of this is that it's been 13+ years since my diagnosis and I'm still here. Your positivity and energy remind me to look at the glass being half full. Thank you and wishing you all the best.
