But now more than ever, those living with lung cancer are living better, longer lives thanks to the power of research and advancements in treatment.

It’s true that life expectancy statistics don’t paint a pretty picture, and it’s so normal to feel anxious, worried, concerned, and fearful about the future. I have metastatic breast cancer to lung, lymph, ribs, spine and long bones. I've been "getting by" for just over 2 years now, still up and walking and breathing fine. I get scans again in a few weeks and so far so good. I'm on hormone blockers to stop the metastasis and so far they're working fairly well. Don't give up hope. Just live your life, enjoy what you can and don't look at the calendar or the clock.
