Giant RC Cars don't come much better than the Traxxas XRT... it's a shame Traxxas are the way they are because this is awesome! IMO it's the only Traxxas you'll ever need.... well, maybe a Traxxas Summit as well lol

Crazy how much more popular the rc hobby is in the UK. I go to a fair amounts of places to crawl or run my buggy. Never seen anyone else with an rc😂. You go to a quarry and there's like 20 people lol.

i really need to get into RC. I have been watching RC channels for years and just have never jumped in. It looks like alot of fun. gotta start doing my research.

I have an XRT and It doesn't do well with really heavy tires. I think a lot of people get sucked down the upgrade rabbit hole because of tires breaking stuff. Also, if you ran the stock tires in the winter, I think that was the culprit for your cracked rims. I cracked both bulkheads running in really cold and I learned my lesson the hard way. 😅

That was a fun driving location.. lots of people driving. I have a 2wd rustler, love it because its simple to maintain! Wish i had a place like that where i live. Regards from Norway. 😊 You and Talbot are my rc favorites.

I've got these in my K8, they're called the Duratrax Hatchet X in USA. Mine are belted too, really awesome wheels. Raced a lot on them and eventually had to glue them back but they've held up well

Get yourself a decent(bigger) air compressor, mate. Makes a hell of a difference when cleaning up your cars. Saves them from neglect, because of the ease of "cleaning up" after a run. Great video as per usual.

Nice work as always Phil. I really think they aimed this at the 8s Kraton, with that low slung style of suspension geometry but with Traxxas reliability.
I like these, but I already have an Xmaxx, and I like the Xmaxx's derpy handling.
Yeah, it is a pity that Traxxas the company are such a bunch of knobs.

Crazy the money they charge aswell as talking up how strong they are then like you said things break straight away. You should have put RPM arms on it instead of original traxxas ones. Mate's and I got vxl rustler 2wd and driveshafts, A-arms, rod-ends, suspension, wheelie bar and other bits were breaking constantly and could never get more than 5-10mins before breaking. The advertising of 70mph+ is only if you upgrade most of the parts. We have so much fun when running but for price paid+ price of upgrades you could probably make your own rc from scratch. Still sic rc but +upgrades I've still been through 3 motor's and 3 esc's.

Was going to say what probably cracked the inner hubs was the cold temps. If it’s cold outside when that wheel gets spinning it gets even cold. Probably on the first jump. I do recall your videos in winter time with this. Cheers from across the pond. USA baby!!

I do love large scale trucks. I’m thinking this might be the large scale truck for me as I don’t bash heavily but just enjoy some light jumping and ripping around mostly. It looks great in that green colour too. Great video. Great bash spots!

Not remotely within my price range but not sure if prefere this or the Xmaxx. Always loved the Erevo's styling as XRT's like it's bigger brother!

Awesome location! It’s like rc heaven. Also thanks for the dedication to getting those water rips. Good stuff bro

Never had an issue with my XRT stock tires wide open sending it 30’ high and 70’ in distance landing in an asphalt road.

Looks like some fun days out! I like the big scale trucks when you have space to run them. It looks like the first runs of your XRT were in some very cold winter weather, maybe that was contributing to cracks in the OE wheels? Either way it's not cheap to replace the big truck wheels and tires so that's a bit of a bummer

Awesome bashing, Phil! What a crazy truck!!! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

I prefer the X-Maxx for serious bashing. However, I really enjoy the XRT for the track.

I reckon the Kraton 8s is an alternative to this from another manufacturer tbh

Just have to say: cracking rims and snapping axles might be an indicator of tha fact that those wheels are bolted on with a bit of an excess in torque.
I personally tighten wheels on my rigs with a ratchet because it's way more handy than carrying all those T-wrenches around. And it has an added benefit of consistent feedback to calibrate your human torque meter.
However, lost a couple of rims due to overtorquing during the calibration phase))
