FILM DESCRIPTION:
Touted upon its release as the finale of the Rocky saga, this fifth entry in the long-running series of sports dramas reunites star Sylvester Stallone with John G. Avildsen, director of the Oscar-winning original. Stallone is Rocky Balboa, suffering from career-ending brain damage as a result of his punishing bout with Ivan Drago at the finale of the previous film. Upon their return to Philadelphia, Rocky and his wife, Adrian (Talia Shire), discover they are broke, their fortune squandered by an incompetent accountant. Forced to move back to their working-class neighborhood, Rocky finds that his only asset is the run-down gym willed to him by Mickey (Burgess Meredith, who appears in new flashback sequences). Resisting big money offered to him by Don King-like boxing promoter George Washington Duke (Richard Gant), Rocky becomes a trainer and finds a talented comer in Tommy Gunn (real-life boxer Tommy Morrison, nephew of John Wayne). Rocky's son (played by Stallone's real-life son Sage Stallone) feels neglected by his father, who lavishes attention on his prot

Adrian is a woman with a great mind and heart and so caring. So awesome how she loves Rocky so much and taught him somethings here. Rocky won those fights with heart, no muscle. Adrian stood by Rocky in all he and the family went through.

"All those beatings you took in the ring, I took them with you" Adrian is absolutely right, she didn't take the punches, but she felt them, she always protected Rocky and said the right words to him, what a great woman and wife she was

Everyone tries to avoid this movie because of Tommy Gunn... but this was another great performance by Talia as Adrian. The last time we would see her alive unfortunately. She has changed so much. Remember how shy Adrian was?? She may have been rich, lived a life of luxury. But Adrian never lost her heart. You can't ask for a better, more loyal wife.

I love the relationship between Adrian and Rocky. A true love story. She was a strong woman for him. When he was falling down, she was there to hold him up and when he almost gave up on himself, she believed in him. I love the way they loved each other.

My favorite scene of the movie. I love how Rocky instantly regretted his mistake and owned up to it like a man while hugging his wife. Never fails to bring a tear to my eye.

RIP Sage Stallone. My son and I are close. I always remember how hurt Rocky’s son felt for being neglected by Rocky. I watch this movie with my son regularly.

The way Talia expressed herself in her performances, it was so lively as if she really meant those things she said. She's one of the best actresses of all time.

I shed a tear when Adrian said “Your son is lost! HE NEEDS YOU!!” Especially since I’ve always been distant with my father ever since I was a kid.

What I agree with Rocky is this: He didn't want to get his brains beat out just so they could end up in exactly the same place they were in the first film. It really is tragic.
