Remembering units is also valid for scientific uses as well. Have seen folks mess up going from kg to g (etc) when doing maths problems.

Wouldn't x have a maximum of 96, since the price cannot be negative? This would give a closed interval for the domain, which means you can use the extreme value theorem, rather than the 1st derivative test.
