Never mind learning. Your "Grappelli" sound nearly had me in tears. Very convincing!

Fascinating discussion and demonstration of the way you think about scales, melodies, arpeggios, and colors.

Approach 1: Cmaj7 arpeggio. You emphasize the notes in the arpeggio and additionally add some other chromatic notes and lots of slides. The 6th degree is prominent. I hear chromatic movements like G F# F E and chromatics like E D# E , G F# G etc. When I first listened to you playing over the Cmaj7 arpeggio I was puzzled because I heard so many chromatic alterations. Probably because I expected you to stick to diatonic notes!

Approach 2: Cm6 and resolve the Eb to E. Bluesy flavor. G A C D Eb G A C

Approach 3: Cdim. C Eb F# A and resolve Eb and F# up

Very nice video! But I still can’t play gypsy jazz violin I’m a classical trained violinist, may I ask you where did you learn this jazz playing? Fro a specific teacher or you just learn by ear? Can I have a private lesson with you ? How much you charge for a one hour session? I really want to be a great gypsy jazz violin player

Don't forget to transcribe, people! Scales help you learn your instrument and all of the harmonic stuff and you must practice them, but if you don't listen to the kind of music you wanna play and don't transcribe you'll sound plain :/
