Love that sound as you lay that needle down on that vinyl. The sound of beautiful static and you know the music is about to start.

The man! Cool to the core. Had the good fortune to see him open for the Rolling Stones in 1981, but the even greater pleasure was seeing Prince get booed off the stage at the same show.

One of the best concerts I have ever seen was the Stones, J. Geils, and lonesome George in the summer of 1982....Great times ~

I did not realize until now that the term “bad to the bone” was a term first coined by George Thorogood! At the time, I assumed that it was a well known term, but I was just hearing it for the first time! As cool as the song is, i think it’s even cooler that he coined a phrase that has been commonly used ever since!

Seen George 4-5 times and he's been bad to the bone EVERY time.

Okay, so "Find a prepositional phrase" wasn't something I though I'd hear out of GT about this song. LOL!
I'm loving these docs on the songs and having the artist drop the needle, brilliant idea.

Great song, my fave performance from George was one Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer - love the way he tells that story.

"Prepositional phrase" -- not something you hear that many rock musicians say.

Growing up in the early 2000's I heard this song sometimes, but where I heard it the most is when Grave Digger came out of the tunnel. Being a 2000's baby I grew up around and loving monster trucks and still do. My dream/goal is to work on cars and to use the knowledge from working on cars and transfer it to working on monster trucks, and then from there I want to be a monster truck driver. I owe part of my praise though to George for gracing my childhood with such an amazing song.

My favorite George Thorogood quote “Rock and roll never sleeps. It just passes out somewhere.”
I saw him on that 50/50 tour. I have no idea how he got that taxi out to Honolulu....

Saw George at the UPAC in Kingston New York 1986. Preacher Jack opened up for him. Great show

George has always been a great ambassador for rhythm 'n blues music. I saw him interviewed years ago. He said (paraphrase) "People ask why I don't write more original music. 1 - it's hard, and 2 - Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters already wrote all the greatest songs in my opinion, so why don't I just play those?" This from someone who wrote one of the most widely recognizable songs and guitar riffs of all time.
