Never had more fun than when Wilcox was playing the bars across Ontario, late 70s. The parties were legendary; the music outstanding. David, bless you, your guitar(s), your contribution. Sweetest and finest times of my life.

I saw him twice, twenty years apart, in Stroud Ontario. Both times were great, maybe even better the second time.

I get teary eyed remembering how much fun me and my best buds had rocking video games and listening to David, Out Of The Woods was on constant rotation even in the era of grunge and hip hop early 90s.

I have so many great memories with Dave Wilcox playing in the background.

I got to see him at the 3 Mile tavern in Saint John NB. It was during his Laying Pipe tour. At the time their was a big construction job going on at the oil refinery. He sold out 3 nights there. We had a blast and knew every song.

This was my intro to Sir David. Late night Toronto television, early 70s, him dressed in a scarlet military bandsman uniform, Col Sanders beard, curly hair....and a God on guitar.

It was tough finding a good place with cold beer on Sunday nights in the 80s, so if you liked a spot, you would stick with it. I drank at The Nevada, and I think Mr Wilcox would be across from the old Woodbine at the Orchard Park having a few. Often, David and I would pass each other on the way home after closing time. We would both nod, say "hi", but never spoke beyond that.
