This is the low resistance solenoid from a Vw 01m transmission. This solenoid is used in n91 and n93 locations. Other vw transmissions like 01P, 096, 098 ect are the same.

Hello, do the other type of solenoids need to be able to make that shaking noise as well? The ones with 55-63 ohms. I did not see those being tested so I am just wondering?

I have a 02 wagon that is sticking in first gear on occasion. I replaced G68 and seemed to be fine for a while but now stuck again. Wondering if this could be the a solenoid in the VB. I have replaced VB in my 01 but that stuck in limp mode 3rd gear. This one is sticking in first gear.

have you ever tried to do an ultrasonic cleaning in a ultrasonic vat?

Would you happen to have the symptoms you were experiencing when you decided it was the shift Solenoid? I’m currently having issues with my ‘ 00 Passat 😭 hopefully you’re still on YouTube 😩

Hello, we use your written and video resources like a textbook. Thanks for the resources, first of all I wanted to ask you about a subject. G68 voltage in vcds in 01m gearbox 2.48 while driving at idle, the value changes between 2.30 -2.60, there is no fault code, is this part normal or should it be changed, can you help me Thanks .

I have 2002 vw golf 01m, I change the valve body.. and no solution, my problem is in the morning i have a harsh or jump from P to D, , but if I go from P to R and back up a little and then to D it won’t jump in to gear... no codes at all either on the motor or tranny, I can’t figure it out .

Great video. Any chance my 01M no-reverse issue is solenoid related or am I looking in the wrong place?

Hello sir, I see that you have a lot of experience with the 01m transmission. I have the same one in my 01’ golf 2.0. As a student in Europe you know that funds are low. I have a problem that when I drive the car the transmission slips noticeably on higher rpms. It slips a lot and when it finally changes gear it turns a bit normal with less slippage. Driving 60mph it slips a lot and the engine revs a lot and then the same as before, when it finally changes gear after 30 seconds of almost redlining it goes to lower rpm and then it slips less. What do you think? I can’t find someone here that knows the transmissions. They all want to replace it for 1.5k and if that really is my only option then that would mean I’m going back to driving a bicycle.
