there is a subtle brilliance to this movie that I love, all the way through, he plays like a professional, who has practiced those chords and those notes like a dedicated student and to his credit the boy was good, but that ain't the blues, only when he has had his heart broke he sits down and plays like a man with the blues not just a man wanting to play blues. Willie Brown said it, the blues ain't nothing but a good man feeling thinking about a girl he was once with. thats the true blues

Thank you and God bless you so much for posting this. That music in the beginning as Willie is talking with the devil's assistant at The Crossroads about the contract and the blues. That piano music in the background, whatever that melody or song is on that funny sounding piano instantly brings me back to the mid to late 80's and early 90's when I first saw the movie. Of course so many of us saw that movie several time, it is a classic. The universe was nowhere this difficult in the 80's and early 90's.
