2025 BMW X3 First Drive Review: More Tech, More Fake Sound

The 2025 #BMW #X3 is all-new with updated engines, fresh technology, and better technology. But is it better? We take a look at the #M50 model to see if it's truly improved.

if you hold SET button on left side of the steering wheel it will turn off the mandatory (in UE at least) sound warning for going above the speed limits

To be fair, the previous gen X3 had obnoxiously loud fake sound too. I had to deactivate it permanently.

I'm new to BMW and recently was in the market for an X3...either the 24 or this redesign. I love tech and being on top of what's the newest, especially from BMW. I couldn't do it. It was actually easy.

The exterior is bland and less appealing than the 24. There's some more power, but it's also a larger, heavier vehicle. The interior is worse. Even more plastics, convoluted widescreen, loss of many features I won't list. No carbon fiber trim or red seating is available. The 24 interior is just a classier, higher quality place to experience. BMW will have to make significant changes to the LCI for me remain interested in the X3 in the future. So glad to have purchased the 2024 X3 M40i while they were still available.
