The Interior in those new bmw‘s looks like it‘s out of gta 5

The cost-cutting on this interior is crazy. $50k is a lot to ask for. And courtesy of one of the commentators on TopherDrives' videos, this thing looks like a capybara. Other BMW products may have the same usability issues and questionable looks, but at least they are pretty much top of the game from a drivability and interior perspective. But this car feels just middle of the road in this regard. Maybe I'm just being harsh but this feels like one of my least favourite BMWs from this generation.

Wait…the interior door handles are plastic now??? That’s actually unacceptable.

Let’s talk about that creaking in the turn at 9:09 too 😬

The problem with these new BMW interiors is that everyone is going 'techy' with their design and slapping on a rectangular screen on the dash. This does not look luxurious and doesn't look far from what Hyundai/Kia are doing

X3 on the door cards so you don't forget it's X3 actually. What a childish shit. I miss old BMWs.

The material choice on that interior is down right insulting for more than $50k. Go buy a Mazda instead.

That is *not* an interior you’d expect from a luxury car. Just look at what Genesis is doing.

I’m sticking with my old school 128 vert. Naturally aspirated inline 6 and analog, baby!

Sad what BMW has become, the company used to make some of the greatest cars

The F25 & G01 X3's were well thought-out and you can tell a lot of effort went into the designs. For cross-overs they were pretty elegant. Then this came out. It might give the RAV4 a run for its plastic interior and cheap interior components, lol

I don't like how hollow the doors sound. That's a downgrade compared to our 2023 G01 X3. Also, no more exhaust tips? This is Bimmer, not a Toyota. I don't get it.

I am sure I'll drive it and be like "Yep, drives great", but do I really want to put up with the weird interior and exterior and iDrive 9 to get that? I don't know the answer. Based on how laggy those paddles are despite the fast animation, I think not. That's just lame. I guess for a pure daily driver, sure, it'd be great. But for someone like me who already has a G01, it's a no-go.

I don't understand how the Germans can be so good with powertrains and so unbelievably bad with interiors.

Thanks for the video. I just picked one up in similar trim and have about a week of driving on it. Video is a good summary of the performance: quiet at speed, flat around corners, and very easy to drive. I use the assisted features as much as possible and have been impressed. Hard to choose between this and the Q5 55 Audi PHEV but came down to comfort and features.

This guy also has nice wristwatches. I like his car reviews and his passion for wristwatches. Speedy, Explorer and so on.

Hell nah 50k for this?!! For that price I’d rather just buy a crown signia or some Lexus equivalent with way better interior materials and will last a lot longer

I'll wait for the mid cycle refresh, Thank you.

BMW marketing team: what should we call it?

" just throw a bunch of Xs and 3s at the name"

Awesome review as always! That said, shame on BMW for the amount of cost-cutting plastic they used for a vehicle that STARTS at $50k. Compared to the interior of the Genesis GV70, this looks (and likely feels) like a cheap economy car. At least they maintained good driving dynamics...

57k sounds expensive until you compare it to Mercedes GLC and the fact just a few options pushes you well past 60k. I think that reliability wise the BMW will run circles around the Mercedes as well.
