The guys at toho are geniuses. They made a ton of money off a movie with a relatively low budget, so they go, “lets rerelease it, but slightly different, and we’ll make even more money.” And they’re absolutely right, we would rewatch even a black and white version of this film.

Oh I cannot wait to see this movie in black and white! I love how it honors the original 1954 film that way. From this preview its looks great and what a great idea for the movie to have another run. Thank you so much TOHO for making all this possible for US audiences to see this great movie once again in theaters that is now my favorite Godzilla movie to date!

The choice to make this movie black and white reminds me a lot of how The Mist (2007) was made black and white on the director's cut blu ray. It made the movie feel more apocalyptic, and I hope that's the same kind of feeling I get out of Minus Color.

I've never seen a godzilla movie be so emotional besides shin godzilla. Minus one explored a trip to the past, without godzilla fighting evil kaiju and saving the day, he goes to his 1954 side and is the villain. Not to mention the "low budget" 15 MILLION for a masterpiece, this movie was perfect compared to the average hollywood movie nowadays. Toho knows what they're doing and I can't wait for the next movie.

They should mess with the frame rate when ever its Godzilla. Give it a weird stop motion vibe.
