We used to have so many players that are not even half the talents with the players we have now but what separates between them are the fight, desire and passion for the game. We used to have fighters back then man. Rooney, Alan Smith, Scholes, Vidic, Rio, Evra, Park... nowadays players play like they wanna be ballerina

I actually got to go to a team camp for my team and he came down to coach us. It was a great experience getting to meet him and be coached!

Alan Smith - an absolutely brilliant player for Leeds but in particular, for me, at Manchester United. he was very much in the Mark Hughes mould - skillful, hard-working, great team player, scored some great goals. An honest pro. I was gutted when he got that injury.

Putting rivalries aside don't think a single United fan would have a bad word to say about Alan Smith. Class act, top pro who gave everything. Still remember that display against Chelsea where he basically inspired us to win the game.
