My opinion, the B1G needs football brands. I realize Florida State and Miami are down as far as winning, they still have a brand and people watch them on TV. Having a foot in Florida is important. The B1G needs to live up to the expectations of the TV deal with good brand football.

Getting UC Berkeley is definitely a must here. I think that’s what it takes to make sure the University of California board of regents don’t stop UCLA’s move to the Big Ten

For 4 divisions of 5 teams each you only need 3 more from the PAC 10. You take UW, OU and Stanford. The 20th team is ND. Since ND isn't interested, you take UVA or UNC.

TCU will be joining the B10 soon. Offers the Texas market, major metro area, great recruiting and winning culture.

From what I am hearing Florida State & North Carolina are more desirable than any other West Coast teams. These two schools actually bring more $$$ value to the conference while expanding the B1G footprint into talent rich states. The B1G had a feasibility study request run, and these two schools were at the top of the list with only ND ahead, and everyone knows ND is not joining any conference. The next two teams listed a tier below were Oregon & Virginia. Florida State University was listed as the 7th most popular school, only behind #1 Ohio State, #5 Michigan State, and #6 Michigan in the B1G: This yearly report was released by Sports Analytics from Hamford University. FSU’s tv viewership from the 2021 season was just behind Texas was either ranked 10th or 11th in the country. FSU was the highest ranked ACC team. Also, Florida State despite being down the last 5 years, still has a excellent brand with excellent academic with a ranking of the 17th best public university. The word is there are 7 of the 8 needed ACC Presidents that are ready to vote to terminate the GOR. Known votes are Notre Dame, Florida State, North Carolina, Clemson, and Miami. *Miami was not listed in the top-25. There are a large number of B1G alumni who work or are retirees in the State of Florida.

Maybe Iowa State and Missouri? Send Northwestern and Rutgers and Illinois to the MAC while you can

Why is Oregon a done deal? Because Oregon and McMurty say so? Pitt brings to no money at all.

It's comical how mad Rico is that Notre Dame is going to stay Independent.

Can we get some bigger chunks of audio? Even if half was without video, give me a 40 minute segment on here

Notre Dame wants control. Everything has to be on their terms. If they sign up for it, it is all good. Play OSU in the BIG10 or Purdue or MSU, or UM on a BIG10 schedule, that is something different. On another note, there were rumors that UVa., and Ga Tech were better candidates for the BIG10 when Maryland and Rutgers were joining. Going to the SEC feels weird for them. All this expansion is ruining college basketball by the way. I guess it would be cool to watch Indiana and UCLA play in the regular season or UCLA vs a MSU in men's basketball, but the tail is clearly wagging the dog at this point. If I were UM, OSU, PSU I would not want Oregon. They are good in football and they bring nothing to the table, but a potential lose on game day.

BIG10 wants schools that add to the BTAA($10 Billion) ...that's where Rutgers and Maryland bring value. Also, the TV markets(cable) where able to get the BIG10 network in those regions.

It's somewhat aggravating to see football commentators talking on and on about football competition being the driver of all this. It's not. It's about benefitting the conference and its member schools. That means money, academics and sports all matter. For the Big 10 the academic and institutional side is a huge factor because of the cooperation/integration between member institutions.

Oregon is the least valuable school to add to the conference out those being discussed by a long ways and you act as though they should be the shoe in. Oregon does not bring anything in regard to academics, research spending or institutional heft. If Oregon is first in it's because they're begging.

I agree, Georgia Tech is a pretty school because it's in Atlanta. If you found Rutgers and Maryland to be pretty, then GT is gorgeous! Pick up Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina and Florida State. Big 10 South. Then Big 10 West - Oregon Wash UCLA USC. Big Ten East - Rut Mary Penn St. Ohio State. Big Ten North - Minn Wisc Iowa Neb. Big Ten Central - NW ILL Purd Ind MSU Mich

Duke? West Virginia? I know this is all football related, but guess what these teams will have to play basketball too. Kansas? Iowa state? Oklahoma state?

Do your homework on Maryland. Since 2014 we have the 3rd most conference championships. Plus numerous National Championships.

In football we are building. Couple of bad hires ( Edsall, Durkin, K Anderson).
After the tragedy and Covid which was Locksley reality when he took the job.
We are finally doing 7-6 and if we stay healthy. Hopefully better this year. Hardest schedule in the nation 3 of the last 5 years.

Ex Catholic here. I don't want Notre Dame in. Not even sure of Utah with all the mormons. Religion poisons everything.
