The key to golf is practice and patience, you just have to keep grinding and trust the process. Tinker with new techniques with your swing and grip until you find something that works.

My favorite golf story was Wojo trolling Mike by yelling 'BOGEY' When Mike would go over par. Wojo is SOOOO obnoxious but I enjoy hearing about him aggravating Mike on occasion.

Try to break a 100, 1 birdie and a par on each 9 without total meltdowns is a good start, then 95, then 90, etc

If you don't know what your hand-eye coordination is like, that's the same as saying I'm clearly not athletic at all

My dad started at like age at age 50 and he’s shooting around 85, 90 now….12 years later but no lessons.

Forget about Handicaps.
Bingo Bango Bongo is the way to go.

Really, the only reason to play is to be outside with friends, drink a little and maybe you have a great hole or two

It's still possible to be the best of a bad group.

My mother in law won a tournament because of her handicap and she wouldn’t stop bragging about her trophy. I wouldn’t be able to say I won anything if I was given points, it just seems like a ploy to keep taking money from people who aren’t very good. No thanks.

I played golf a lot as a kid, only 1-2 imes a year as an adult. I have NEVER heard of this Handicap style Stoney is talking about. Valenti is exactly right. You are just lying to yourself, thinking you can be as good as someone who is clearly better than you. Hell, when I go, I don't even keep score.
