They failed to mention the Pleiades are seven stars that actually look like the little dipper, Ursa minor. Which they aren't, Ursa minor, little bear, little dipper, is always visible from the northern hemisphere and more difficult to identify than the Pleiades that is easier to identify, only for part of the year though.

In Indian astronomy, the nakshatra Karthika is called Pleiades and is ruled by karthikeya (murugan) - the son of Lord Shiva.

the shape of omuhamuha was probably because of particle and radiation shielding. Which shows the level of technological advancement. And a messanger might have been sent from that ship
