Ops on the Edge of Democracy

Chris Alfano, Code for Philly and Jarvus Innovations

Community organizations, nonprofits, local governments, and individual users are often considered irresponsible to build or even redeploy their own technology. But is that a core constraint of information technology, or merely an accidental symptom of over-optimizing for the end of the market with easy returns for venture capital?

Better call this movie a fantasy. This is not a documentary job at all: its director is the daughter of one of the biggest involved in PT government corruption scandals: Mrs. Costa is the daughter of the owner of Andrade Gutierrez.
This indication is a fallacy from progressives showing how deep corruption is organized at an international level.
The film goes on very tangentially, when trying to see Manichaeistically outlaws and good guys, due to the fact that almost all the characters, scammers and victims, have already exchanged strokes of a lot of intimacy and walked, formulated policies and lay in a collective orgy during all these years. Many are even part of the current government. In other words, the real wealthy and ashamed elite knows that the only thing that keeps the masses away from the portals is an economy running at full throttle.
The 'edge' of the film's title, as an adjective of this democracy that is in danger, is very much focused on the suffragette aspect of democracy. Since the vote was not, which I think is correct in that sense, it was always respected after the 1988 Pact. However, the script could have inserted a little bit of Collor de Mello in the context, for example, because it would be important in this pedagogical aspect. Those in power will strike and drop a thousand on the left and 10, 000 on the right, the correct numbering in the Bible.
Another point is the almost total absence of the military in the film.
They, who are now gray eminences of protagonism both in the background and in the deep background, demonstrate that much democracy was rooted in that country. It is worth mentioning, once again, that many characters considered to be coup makers were defenders of the democratic order - under this prism of the vertigo of suffrage.
Even Eduardo Cunha, months before the facts got out of hand, peremptorily affirms, in the scene of the film's archive, that it would be absurd to think of removing Dilma from the presidency.
The main actors in the heterodox collapse of the PT were a Legislature that had already been his, and a Judiciary with many appointments of his own, including to the Supreme Court. In other words, I do not speak here of necessary self-criticism, which is so much requested of the PT.
I speak of absurd administrative and political ineptitude, as well as a ruinous and fanciful management of the economy, coupled with the blind eye with flagrant cases of corruption. That started to bother the mass. A moralistic scum that rose thanks to the PT. The now damned "poor of the right".
