Should Parents Give Allowance To Their Children

Should you give your kids allowance or not? Children don't need money simply because they have 5 freebies that provide them what they need to survive. The question is, why would I? Why do you need to give your kids allowance? Unless you come up with a good answer, go for it!

Im 23 and in college I randomly asked my parents for an allowance.. She said how dare I even ask when she buys everything for me. The thing is I don't want to keep asking them for money because often time if I do ask for something they complain that I ask for too much. So I just wanted to suggest that maybe they could just give me a set amt of money every month so I don'tt have to ask them what to buy and giving them pressure. They just let me be responsible to do it

i dont get any pocket money and have been trying to get my parents to give me $5 AUD a week just so i can save for my first car until i can get a job.

Ok I get money to eat at school at get 20 bucks a month and I save some but I only have 3.50 rn

Why? Practice money, yes! to teach to save, once he has $10 he can put it in the bank and watch it grow. :D Last time he saved up $5 before deciding to spend it on toy guns. and learned that he can't buy a $30 gun with $5 hea.

Why are you talking about shelter and stuff and food that is the basics and toys but allowances are for parents who care about there children or they give them a bank account and put money in there if they are good
