LOL 😂. My husband and I raised our sons to contribute to the overall wellbeing of the family: clean up after yourself, help another by taking up the slack when someone was sick, gardening in the summer meant veggies in the winter. Fishing and deer hunting meant meat year round. Good grades were expected, not paid for. They worked after football practice and on weekends to earn cash. Their dad would pay them a bonus $ for helping him work in big farm or auto job.

Both are financially blessed because they save, tithe, give to charity and live within a budget.

Both accomplished this with a community college trade and AA degree. No student loan debt.

I just started listening to your videos yesterday and I am ecstatic that you have met with Dave, since I’m already a huge Dave Ramsey follower!

No allowance.
You do work because it is the right thing to do.
Because you do that for your family.
Now they are not motivated by money.
That is good and bad.
You don't get a lot of money but also money is not your god.

We paid for chores and it was the best thing we could have done. They caught on and now our eldest is an entrepreneur 🎉

No allowance!...make them work for it.😤

Pay them 1-7 dollars for what ever work they do depending in the "difficulty" of said job(chore).

No housework should be paid for. Children must learn that everyone who lives in the house is responsible for the chores. Money should be given for something extra, e.g., if they're helping the parents in their jobs or something like that.
