Boris Johnson resigns - who will replace him?

He's going, but not yet.

Boris Johnson will continue as Prime Minister until a new Tory leader is elected - and that is still causing outrage from serving ministers to the former Prime Minister John Major.

Labour said it will call a vote of confidence in the government to try to force him out immediately.

But most Conservative MPs' attention has turned to who will be the next Prime Minister.

A series of people most voters have barely heard of are jockeying for position - as the party grandees decide how the leadership election will work and how long it will take.

I suddenly understand! These people live in a different realm and are utterly disconnected from anything resembling reality.

Who ever it is, it can only be another corrupt person. Nothing will change greed and corruption have taken over the world the ordinary working people are now and always will be less thought of like always.

Wouldn't it be good to have a honest, decent, intelligent, politician who wants to improve the lives of the electorate and put Britain first!

Next PM will just be someone who will make many promises but not deliver on them. Someone who will NOT help with affordable housing, someone that will NOT help with the increase in the cost of living, someone that will NOT lower the amount of national insurance and other taxes many of us have to pay, someone who will NOT deal with any of the financial inconveniences and hardships faced by the working class. They take home a massive paycheck and their daily food allowance alone is insane in comparison to many other jobs, this whole world is corrupt, everything is set up for the higher-ups to ascend and us, the people, to descend.

Jacob Rees-Mogg is the only MP left who has supported Boris Johnson from the very time he nominated Boris Johnson for the leadership of the Conservative and PM, right until now.

I used to respect Moggy, but the way he has always defended Boris, no matter what Boris has done - and excused him, and even he said in a previous interview, "Of course, the Prime always tells the truth".
NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE CALL JACOB REES-MOGG, MP for North Devon and the 19th Century.
Because he's so out of touch.
Sadly, he has debased himself with his deep association with Boris. Unfortunately, it will come back to bite him.

"I never get very emotional" is the most honest thing Jacob Rees-Mogg has ever said to a journalist

He was told over and over again he had to quit. How many of us live in jobs where we don’t have the option to refuse to be sacked.

Anybody want to talk about the excess deaths? These people killed. He needs jail, not retirement.

How can any of these narcisists be even considered when they chose loyalty over morality.

I am thinking of standing as a candidate but as I have a CSE Grade four in cookery I might be over qualified.

It doesn't really matter, most politicians appear to not care less, some begin their careers with the best of intentions but once they become settled within the Westminster trough and begin to understand how it 'works' then all ideology, ethos and ethics become tainted and/or corrupted by the 'system'.
