Humans are growing taller around the world. The average adult today is 5% taller than they were a century ago.

But how tall could humans get in the future, and what can we learn from the tallest people in the world – the Dutch?

I am from the UK, I'm about 6'05 (184cm) just about a member of the 'tall boy' club over here, I lived and worked in The Netherlands for two years, my god they were giants, the men and women! I felt short at times! Lovely people though. Big friendly giants.

My background is 1/2 Dutch and I am middle-aged and have grown 1 inch in last 5 years. I am now 6ft 2.5 inches. I was blaming my wife for shrinking my clothes until I measured myself. Maybe the boiled spinage and raw egg my mother gave me as a child had that affect. Well that's my story.

I’m American woman and am half Dutch. I’m tall at 5’8”, my mother was short. I grew up eating red meat and dairy each day, I don’t eat either today. I think it did help with my height.

well since they are the netherlanders i.e. live below the level of sea they always had to stretch their necks and stand on their toes to look for their spice ships on the horizon and as it happens evolution responded by giving them taller height.

Correction. The Dutch are among the Tallest People. The Tallest People in the World are the South Sudanese with an average of 7'

Norwegian/ dutch ancestry and 6'4. I used to always slouch growing up in school around friends because I was always so much taller than everyone else. Then I got older and realized women actually liked taller guys. Lol I was so dumb.

I drank Omega-3 milk literally everyday as a kid, was very active in cardio as a student athlete, ate lots of dairy and protein/meat daily, slept 10 hours a night every night, and had a 188 cm (6'2") father and still ended up pathetically short. So I doubt diet plays a part in it or else I wouldn't have ended up at only 180 cm, while other men I know actually ended up not being short, despite being unhealthy and lazy growing up.
