Host Matt Farah wrings the 458 Italia out on New Jersey's beautiful roads to find out if it is truly the best Ferrari yet.

A buddy of mine owns a 458 Italia, it's the loudest car I've ever heard. It was such a beast to drive in.

That trunk must be damaged some bit after that slam shut. Same reason I never let petrol pump attendants fill any of my cars - just too rough with the petrol flaps and with the pump nozzle and hose.

I have been a fan of motoring shows such as, Top Gear, Fifth Gear, Inside Line, Car and Driver, The Car Show, etc etc. The Smoking Tire is without a doubt my favorite of them all. The genuine passion and enthusiasm the host (Matt Farah) has for automobiles, as well as his vast knowledge of them. He seems very down to earth(not an actor). I'm shocked this show doesn't get more compliments. Anyway, Thank you Smoking Tire crew!!! Keep up the good work!!!

@kwk1 Yes, that was a full launch using the launch control mode. It will not spin the wheels at all from a stop, which pretty much means the launch control is perfect.

@LaenPvP The 599 is a front engined V12, GT car. The 458 is a mid-engined V8. They are so different it's not worth comparing them.

Price per performance the Corvette ZR1 kicks the 458 Italia's ass and will leave you with $140, 000 to spare. Nurburgring lap times: ZR1 7:19.63 vs 458 7:28. Now add another $140, 000 to the ZR1 and see where that gets you whether it be interior or performance upgrades. Don't get me wrong the 458 is a beautiful car but it is over priced.
