'Take one step on that rope and I'll cut it!'

Loony Tunes is animated at 12 frames per second (FPS), but each unique drawing is copied for two frames, making the production play at 24 FPS. However, action-heavy scenes, such as pulling a continent via rope, are animated at 24 FPS, with every frame having a unique drawing. To confirm this information, download a Loony Tunes clip and place it in a video editor to look at each frame!

I attempted to fully recreate this style, with the beginning at 12 FPS and the action at 24 FPS. As can be seen, it resulted in choppier animation at the beginning. This is because the movements of my figures were far more dynamic compared to the movements of the cartoon.

The lesson learned is to animate subtly during scenes that don't require a lot of action or movement. I've been trying to practice this technique outside of this project as well, so hopefully my skills will improve for future animations!

I like how the dagger immediately flies of out the soldiers hand as soon as the monster figure grabs the rope.

This is genuinely good. The attention to the Hunter leaning over the marine like the ape does in the toon is quite smart

Edit: I called the marine a grunt. I got too much titanfall on my brain lol

Edit 2: BROTHERS! UNITE AND STAND FOR OUR FALLEN!

Bro, I was on a stopmotion animation course one time, and I know well how much time and patience it takes. Huge respect. You are a man of focus, commitment and sheer fucking will!

That was actually really awesome to see! Good job making the reference to the Looney tunes and then making your own version of the animation with those action figures. Really awesome!

How did he make the sword fly away?! That's really impressive. The effort put in to replicate is awesome.

I really got the feeling of weight behind it when that metal rope was pulled taut and then released. That's a hard thing to replicate in stop-motion!

Nice job, mate! 😁👍

Why is stop motion animation not as popular? It's painstaking work, but always beloved to the eye. Thank you for this.

Ah, the days when apes were capable of moving whole continents with only a little rope.

Seriously though, excellent work!!

I remember seeing that specific cartoon when I was younger, I never expected it to become a meme.

The marine expresses "oh shit" far better than I thought a stop motion ever could
